Who we are
This website (askon.com.au) is operated by ASKON GROUP PTY LTD (ABN 18 695 249 631), trading as ASKON. We deliver NDIS bathroom and home modifications, construction management, and building management. In this policy, "we", "us", and "our" mean ASKON GROUP PTY LTD.
We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
Our website is informational. You do not need an account, and we do not take payments online. We collect personal information only when you give it to us, mainly through our quote form or by phone or email.
The quote form asks for:
- your name, phone number, and email address
- your suburb
- your role (participant, family member, occupational therapist, support coordinator, or other)
- a description of your project
- details of an occupational therapist's scope, if you choose to include them
We also collect the information in any documents you send us, such as OT reports, plans, or photos of your home.
Health and disability information
Because we do NDIS work, your enquiry may include health or disability information. Examples include an OT scope, mobility needs, or why a modification is needed. Under the Privacy Act this is sensitive information, and it has stronger protections.
We only collect this information with your consent. By including it in your enquiry, you consent to us collecting it for the purposes below. If you would rather not include it, leave it out. We can discuss the details by phone instead.
We use health and disability information only to:
- prepare an accurate quote
- plan and deliver the works
- comply with NDIS and building requirements that apply to the project
We do not use it for marketing. We do not sell it. We do not share it except as set out in this policy.
Enquiries made on someone's behalf
Family members, guardians, support coordinators, and occupational therapists often contact us on behalf of an NDIS participant. If you do this, only share information the participant (or their guardian or nominee) has agreed you can share, and only what we need to respond. Where the enquiry becomes a project, we will confirm consent arrangements directly with the participant or their authorised decision-maker.
How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote
- plan, deliver, and warrant the works if you engage us
- communicate with you about your project
- keep records we are required to keep, including for building, insurance, and NDIS compliance
- improve our website and services
We will not add you to a marketing list without asking you first. Any marketing message we send will include a simple way to opt out.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with:
- **Contractors and consultants engaged on your project.** For example, a plumber, electrician, or building surveyor working on your modification. We share only what they need to do their part of the job.
- **Service providers who help us run the business.** For example, website hosting, email, form handling, document storage, and, if we adopt one, a customer relationship management (CRM) system. These providers may store data on servers overseas, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to ensure they protect your information to a standard consistent with Australian privacy law.
- **Anyone required by law.** For example, a court order, or a regulator such as the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission or a building authority.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share health or disability information with anyone outside these categories without your consent.
How we protect it
We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure. This includes access controls on our systems, secure transmission of our web forms, and limiting who sees sensitive information to the people working on your enquiry or project. No system is perfectly secure, but if a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as the law requires.
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires. Building and warranty records must be kept for several years after a project ends. When we no longer need your information, we delete or de-identify it.

Our website currently uses minimal cookies. We may in future use analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use the site. Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify you personally, though analytics providers may process data overseas. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work.
