For Occupational Therapists

Send the Scope. Get a Compliant Quote.

You write the assessment. We quote from your specifications, build to AS 1428.1, and document everything. One builder, one point of contact, no chasing.

How do occupational therapists work with ASKON? OTs send their home modification scope and assessment to ASKON. We review the specifications, provide an itemised quote that meets AS 1428.1 and NDIS home modification guidelines, build to the OT's scope, and return full compliance documentation. One point of contact. Quotes returned within 5 business days.

Why OTs Refer to ASKON

We Make Your Job Easier, Not Harder

The reason OTs get frustrated with home modification builders is simple: most builders treat the OT scope as a suggestion, not a specification. That creates rework, delays, and compliance gaps that land back on your desk.

We Quote From Your Scope

Your assessment is the brief. We do not reinterpret, upsell, or substitute. If your scope says hobless shower with 1500mm turning circle, that is what gets quoted and built. If something in the scope is unclear, we call you before quoting.

AS 1428.1 Compliance

Every modification is built to AS 1428.1. Clearances, gradients, fixtures, and finishes are specified in our quotes and verified on completion. You get a team that knows the standard, not one that needs you to explain it.

Full Documentation

On completion, you receive photos of the finished work, compliance documentation, and a summary of what was built against the original scope. This is the documentation your file needs, delivered without you having to ask.

One Point of Contact

Mark Askew leads every project. You deal with the same person from quote to handover. No being passed between sales, estimating, and site managers. One number to call, and a method behind it that keeps your project on track. Before ASKON, Mark held senior site and project roles on $870 million of major Victorian builds, including a $75 million centre that kept its opening date through 14 weeks of rain delays. Your timelines are safe here.

Fast Quote Turnaround

We return quotes within 5 business days of receiving your scope. If a site visit is needed, we schedule it promptly and confirm the day with you. Your participants should not be waiting weeks for a builder to respond.

Respectful Site Conduct

We work in people's homes. We clean up daily, minimise noise disruption, and treat every home with respect. When your participants report back to you, you hear about the result, not complaints about the build.

How It Works

Scope to Quote to Build

Here is the process from your end. We have built it to require the minimum effort from you.

1

Send Your Scope

Email or upload your OT assessment and modification scope through our quote request form. Include your specifications, any photos, and the participant's contact details (with their consent).

2

Site Visit (if required)

For complex modifications, Mark conducts a site visit to assess the existing structure and confirm the scope is buildable as specified. If adjustments are needed, we discuss them with you before quoting.

3

Itemised Quote

We provide a detailed, itemised quote referencing your specifications, AS 1428.1 clauses where applicable, and a clear scope of works. The quote is formatted for NDIA submission.

4

Build

Once NDIS funding is approved, we schedule and complete the build. We keep you informed of progress and flag anything that deviates from the original scope.

5

Documentation and Handover

On completion, we provide you with photos, compliance documentation, and a scope-vs-built summary. You get what you need for your file without a follow-up email chain.

OT Questions

Questions From Occupational Therapists

How do I send you an OT scope for quoting?

Use our quote request form and select "Occupational Therapist" as your role. Attach or describe your scope, and include the participant's location and contact details (with consent). You can also email the scope directly to info@askon.com.au or call 03 9088 1297.

How quickly do you return quotes?

Our commitment is to return quotes within 5 business days of receiving your scope. If a site visit is required, we schedule it promptly and confirm the day with you. If we anticipate any delay, we let you know proactively.

Do you build exactly to the OT scope or do you change things?

We build to your scope. Your assessment is the specification, not a starting point for negotiation. If we identify a structural constraint or buildability issue during the site visit, we discuss it with you directly before quoting. We never substitute materials, change dimensions, or alter the scope without your written agreement.

What documentation do you provide on completion?

On project completion, you receive: photos of the finished modifications, a scope-versus-built summary confirming what was delivered against the OT specification, compliance documentation referencing AS 1428.1 where applicable, and certificates for any regulated work (waterproofing, plumbing, electrical). All documentation is provided proactively. You should not need to chase it.

What areas do you service?

ASKON services Australia-wide. If your participant is located outside these areas, call us. We may be able to assist or refer you to a trusted builder in their area.

Are your quotes formatted for NDIA submission?

Yes. Our quotes are itemised and structured for NDIA assessment. Each line item references the relevant part of the OT scope and, where applicable, AS 1428.1 clauses. We include builder qualifications, licence details, and insurance information. The goal is a quote that supports the funding application without additional work from you or the support coordinator.

Have a Scope Ready?

Send it through and we will return a compliant, itemised quote. Or call to talk a project through with the team that will deliver it.
